Mission

To Protect our Community and put Service above all else.

The Winchester Fire Department is staffed by 45 members and responds to all emergencies including fires, vehicle accidents, hazardous materials incidents, and medical assistance. The Winchester Fire Department is a member of MetroFire, the Boston area mutual aid network that includes 34 other cities and towns.

The Department staffs two fire engines, one ladder, and a paramedic staffed ambulance daily. The companies operate out of two fire stations, one located downtown and one on the west side of town to minimize response times.
